Common – Finding Forever

O data atinsa o varsta si o maturitate artistica, in mintea celor mai multi artisti apare intrebarea caracteristica momentelor de criza: “Din tot ce mi-am propus sa fac, ce am reusit sa realizez pana acum ?”. Privind inapoi mare parte din ei isi dau seama ca procentajul propuneri-realizari nu este unul favorabil, iar de aici pana la alunecarea pe o panta a exceselor nu e mult. Altii se multumesc sa-si spuna ca putinul realizat a fost facut cu daruire totala, si chiar daca nu au atins notorietatea dorita iar vanzarile nu au bulversat asteptarile contabililor, spera ca operele lor vor continua sa existe peste ani ca o marturie a actului artistic. In cei peste 15 ani de activitate, cumuland 7 albume, Common a reusit sa devina cel mai reprezentativ MC al orasului Chicago – Can I Borrow A Dollar? si One Day It’ll All Make Sense, sa-si perfectioneze stilul – Like Water For Chocolate si Be, a clamat declinul culturii hiphop – Ressurection dar a lasat loc si experimentelor – Electric Circus. Indeajuns de multe argumente pentru a ramane in memoria ascultatorilor ca o figura importanta. Al saptelea LP din cariera il gaseste pe cel cunoscut initial sub numele de Common Sense sub impulsul intrebarii enuntate anterior, doar ca de aceasta data tinta MC-ului este una cu bataie lunga – Finding Forever.
